OUR STORY

A Wish for Animals @ UCLA

At the beginning of quarantine, our founders, Lauren Enge and Julianna Thrasher agreed to foster a timid pregnant Chihuahua who had been rescued from a hoarding situation. On May 13th, 2020, Rylee welcomed her three baby boys: Rigby, Rocco, and Remi.

After all three baby boys were adopted, both Lauren and Julianna continued to foster for a variety of rescues. Upon fostering for A Wish for Animals in Los Angeles, more students began to gage interest in taking care of puppies before their adoptions, and thus, AWFA @ UCLA was born.

A Wish for Animals is a 100% non-profit, non-kill rescue based out of Los Angeles and Orange County aimed at saving as many pups as possible. We could not be luckier to partner with such an amazing organization.

A Wish for Animals at UCLA is a dog loving student-run organization that enables students to volunteer hands-on with the rescue through student committees and student fostering.
